Combo Classes

Combo classes pack a lot of dance into one class. We generally combine two classes into one in order to offer variety and different experiences. Examples include ballet/tap, ballet/jazz, and hip hop/tap.

Attire Ballet/Tap: Pink leather ballet shoes, black tap shoes, pink tights black leotard. Hair pulled back
Attire Ballet/Jazz: Pink leather ballet shoes, pink tights, black leotard. Nude or tan jazz shoes can be worn for the jazz portion.

Ballet

Theatrical entertainment in which dancers, usually accompanied by music, tell a story or express a mood through their movements. The technique of ballet is elaborate and requires many years of training. Two classical ballets are Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Attire: Pink leather or split soled canvas ballet shoes, pink tights, black leotards. Hair secured neatly in a bun.

Tap

Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.

Attire: black tap shoes, leggings or booty shorts with tank top or t shirt. Hair pulled back.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance merges ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance styles. Lyrical dancing is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements to express strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics in the chosen song.

Attire: Nude foot Undeez or nude pirouette shoes. Leggings, or booty shorts with a tight fitting top. Hair pulled back.

Jazz

Jazz dancing is a form of dance that showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality. Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way. This type of dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.

Attire: Nude foot Undeez, nude pirouette shoes, or nude jazz shoes. Leggings, or booty shorts with a tight fitting top. Hair pulled back.
